Four-Session Night Class Series

Acting with Isaak Olson: Wednesdays Oct 16, 23, 30 & Nov 6, 2024

This class will focus on basic tenets of acting, including essential acting terms, physicalization, memorization techniques, “The Moment Before”, knowing your “Other”, specificity and character analysis. During the course of the four weeks, students will be asked to memorize, perform, and workshop scenes and monologues in class. As memorization is required for performing scenes and monologues, students should be prepared to dedicate time outside of class each week. The class will
culminate in a final performance, presented at the end of the final session.

Stage Combat with Mikael Mattsson: Wednesdays Feb 12, 19, 26 & Mar 5, 2025

Whether you're a seasoned performer seeking to refine your craft or a newcomer eager to learn the ropes, this workshop offers a supportive and collaborative environment where you can unleash your creativity and push the boundaries of theatrical expression. Join us for four unforgettable nights of adrenaline, camaraderie, and artistic discovery as we journey together into the exciting realm of stage combat!

Improv with Isaak Olson: Wednesday Mar 26, Apr 2, 9 & 16, 2025

This introductory class will focus on basic principles of improvisation, including essential improv terms, spontaneity, listening, “Yes and...”, creating believable characters, scene construction, physicalization exercises, and lots of fun improv games. During the course of the four weeks, students will be participating in a variety of games and exercises, both as individuals and in small groups. This class will offer a safe and encouraging environment for students to be creative, express themselves in a collaborative art form, and have lots of fun while doing it! The class will culminate in a final performance,
presented at the end of the final session.

Each class is limited to 12 students.
